Peace
Just days after announcing the deployment of more troops to Afghanistan, Obama accepts the Nobel Prize for Peace. I, like Obama agree that there are more deserving choices. I am terribly fond of Obama, however, the truth does hurt.

Accordion Kings & Queens
Busy day today. Breakfasts at Mom and Dad's, then an honor society luncheon. Over 20 years ago, I was inducted into this honor society for my profession, however, I needed to be inducted again. I was informed by national that records are not kept for such a long time period, especially if I did not renew my annual membership. So today, I was inducted again. That was ok with me, but, I would have liked to re-join the University of Texas chapter, rather than Houston. Nevertheless, I was proud to be honored. After, that an afternoon visit with my sister. The evening consisted of the missed unveiling of the Barack Obama bust. I'll just have to settle for a viewing tomorrow.
Then a cajun, polka, conjunto, and zydeco concert. See the video above. It features Cedryl Ballou on lyrics from an earlier performance. He was in Houston tonight with the Accordion Kings and Queens concert. The video below features Houston's own Johnny Ramirez. He is the 2008 winner of the Big Squeeze Competition for amature accordion players 25 and under.

Jango & Presidential News
This is my own personal radio station. You try it. Click on the orange "Jango" above.
Comments on the first presidential news conference:
I cannot believe members of the press asked these questions.
Q. Can one really "talk up an economy"?
A. If this is possible, then maybe Obama can "talk it up."
Q. Shall people spend or save their stimulus checks?
A. I thought all members of the press have taken Economics 101. Does the word "Spiral" not mean anything?
